Kathryn Felicia Day (born June 28, 1979 in Huntsville, Alabama) is an American actress, writer, web series creator, gamer, independent filmmaker, and total nerd.

Felicia's best-known early television role was the Potential Slayer Vi on the final season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, though this may have been eclipsed by her recurring guest role of Charlie Bradbury on Supernatural. She's also known for her work in web series, appearing as Penny in Joss Whedon's Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, starring as Cyd "Codex" Sherman in the popular web series The Guild (which she also created and wrote), and co-founding , which produces and publishes a wide variety of geeky web-videos.

In addition to her professional work, Felicia's also extremely smart; she was a National Merit scholar, began college at 16, and double-majored in mathematics and music at the University of Texas at Austin, graduating in the top 4% of her class.

On August 11, 2015, she released the memoir You're Never Weird on The Internet (Almost). Much to her surprise, the book was a notable success, reaching #3 on the New York Times bestseller list and #4 on the UK bestseller list. Her second book, Embrace Your Weird: Face Your Fears and Unleash Creativity, was published on October 1, 2019.

On January 3, 2017, Felicia revealed a secret she'd kept for over thirty-seven weeks by posting a surprising announcement on Twitter: that she was pregnant with her first child. She gave birth on January 30, naming her daughter Calliope Maeve.

• Gamer Chick: Her two-year addiction to World of Warcraft was what inspired her to create The Guild. Since Geek & Sundry launched (and even moreso since her daughter was born) she doesn't have as much time to play anymore, but every time a new A-list RPG comes out, her Twitter feed fairly explodes with anticipation. And in May 2017, she revealed she's playing Cynder the dragoness, who originated in The Legend of Spyro games and is migrating to a new TV series.

• That Came Out Wrong:
  • During a Flog segment where she was learning how to crochet, Felicia made the opening in the item she was crafting too small.

    "Whoa, I'm getting so narrow, I can't even keep my finger in here. *realizes what she says and begins to lose it* That was not meant to be dirty!"

  • During the 2008 Comic Con panel for Dr. Horrible, when asked a question, she said she hadn't heard because, "I'm twittering under here." She didn't recognize the Double Entendre until the audience laughed and Neil Patrick Harris had some fun at her expense. As she noted in You're Never Weird on The Internet (Almost), Twitter wasn't all that well-known yet, so at least some portion of the audience probably had no idea what she was saying, just that it sounded dirty out of context.
  • While reviewing her performance in Mark of the Assassin, she called it "Playing with herself"; while it was meant to be a deliberate Double Entendre, she couldn't stop cracking up during delivery.
  • While doing a Lets Play of Marble Madness with her brother Ryon, Ryon misspelled the player name he was trying to type and had to erase some letters. Except in Marble Madness the erase button is labeled "RUB". Felicia then advised her brother to "Rub it out". Cue a spit-take by Felicia and a giggling fit from Ryon.

• Toilet Humor: The woman LOVES fart jokes.
  • Case in point: She uploaded a YouTube video called Felicia Makes Fart Sounds with Her Mouth. It's Exactly What It Says on the Tin.
  • Another case in point: This episode of The Flog. Theremins make fart sounds, which Felicia milks for all it's worth.
  • In Co-optitude, a show where she plays retro games with her brother Ryon, they quickly developed the habit of naming their characters (when they could) Anuss (with a double "s") and Poopiez.
• Typecasting: Her roles follow a similar archetype of being primarily adorkable badasses. For example? Ninety percent of the roles we list.
  • Due to this, she decided to play against type as Henrietta Hudson in the finale of Headless: A Sleepy Hollow Story. In an article for TV Insider about the role, she said, “I wanted to channel a badass woman and be the most competent in the room, also stretch myself from who I usually play, more quirky and comedic characters."
