Loved this conversation with my friend and colleague Sarah Rimmel! The queer community contains multitudes. We must be thoughtful about feeling what we need to feel and resourcing ourselves in turbulent times.Join us this coming Wednesday as we continue this conversation at our Pride for Past, Present and The Future panel 💚https://lnkd.in/etZNAxAC

🌼 Planting Seeds of Respect: Grandparents' Guide to Nurturing Civility 🌼In a world that thrives on diversity and connection, instilling the values of civility and respect is more crucial than ever. As grandparents, you have the power to be role models, guiding your grandchildren toward understanding, empathy, and kindness.🌱 Step 1: Lead by Example 🌱Showcase respect in your interactions with others. Principles are fundamental beliefs that are deeply embedded in our minds. As we navigate life, we encounter various experiences that shape our understanding of the world. Along the way, it becomes apparent that specific values should be cultivated. These values help define who we are as individuals and as members of society. A quote by Rosa Parks, a renowned civil rights movement activist, reflects something similar about values and principles.#contemplation #thought #leadership #leadershipskills #learning #education #lifelonglearning #thoughfuleadership#motivation #inspiration #growing #professionalgrowth #leadingteam #leadinglife #Wordstogetyouthroughyourday

The worst mistake one can make is hearing one version of a story and thinking they have heard the true version. A successful, thoughtful person hears the whole story from both sides and finds the common ground. How many of you were judged without someone hearing your side? I am certain everyone has been a time or two. If you listen to one version, take the time to hear the other side. You may be surprised how misinformed you were. Practice Active listening and hear “the rest of the story” before drawing a conclusion.

Especially, when people and the internet dish out so much information these days that may or may not be accurate. Be sure to seek to understand from the source in addition to what information you are gathering elsewhere. A thorough perspective gathers from all angles and resources. Most things are not what they seem initially, once you understand deeper. ;) #criticalthinking #creativequestions #prespectivematters

There are always two sides. Don’t be afraid to apologize when you are on the wrong side. Don’t blame. Don’t make excuses. I’m very sorry. What can we do to fix this and ensure it doesn’t happen again. Recognizing this will help you grow. As a person and a company.
